
Young Artist Summer Camps 2023
VM Studio is thrilled to offer summer camps for young artists in Taber, Alberta!
Additional camps may be offered if there is demand.

VM Studio is located in a residential business in Taber, Alberta, on the South side.
The recommended age is only a guideline - all students have different experience levels.
Art Exploration Camp

We will be exploring 4 mediums: sketch pencils, colored pencils, markers, and acrylic paints. Students will learn about sketching, linework, shading, blending, and combing mediums on canvas as well as heavy card paper. We will discuss color theory and perspective, and learn some interesting art history during classes.
Small (indoor) class size ensures the instructor can offer one-on-one attention during class. Experienced instructor Anna maintains a positive, welcoming, encouraging, and fun class environment where students can feel safe and enjoy exploring the arts. Students will bring an assortment of finished projects home throughout the camp.
Students will receive water or juice each class, and are invited to bring a light snack.
Mixed Media Art Camp

We will be exploring the world of mixed media art, which means we will be using several different types of art medium to create an assortment of art projects: colored pencils, markers, acrylic paints, as well as cut & paste. We will learn about depth, texture, linework, shading, blending, and combining multiple mediums on canvas. We will discuss color theory, perspective, composition, and art history.
